Category: Gardening |

Home Gardening is indeed a very interesting subject provided you have enough knowledge and information about its set up and maintenance. There are various plants that could be grown and maintained in the indoor gardens. Most of the house plants are considered as the tropical plants and belong to the extreme humid climatic conditions. The house plants are very often referred to decoration. Majority of the people avoid noticing their houseplants and see only when something is wrong with the plants. Making any plant a part of your home interior would be the amazing idea of appreciating it close up, but the atmosphere inside the homes is to some extent non-suitable to the plants, so following tips may help you organize a beautiful home garden.

  • Avoid direct sources of direct heat on the plants. If your home is cool enough and you want to provide extra heat for your houseplants, ensure that they are guarded from the direct heat by placing some thick board sort of thing between the plant and heat source.
  • Control humidity for the indoor plants especially if you had transferred it to the summer heat and now bringing back to room temperatures.
  • Appropriate lights are required for the indoor houseplants and any fluctuations may greatly damage the plants.
  • Insect pest controlling problems for houseplants as there are no natural predators for controlling them they spread faster, check leaves regularly.
  • Pot bound houseplants especially when the plant grows larger than its pot then its roots circle around inside the pot and start restricting themselves.
  • Avoid exposure to drafts as majority of the houseplants are alive at the same temperatures as human-beings and that is what make them popular as houseplants.

Watering to the houseplants should be sufficient so the soil gets wet and no water runs out through the bottom of the pot and it lead to salt build up which inhibits the growth of the plant.

  • Over watering to any houseplant is proved to be their killers so do not water it in excess and use adequate fertilizers for its natural growth.
